Apparently the Teletubbies Have Babies Called ‘Tiddlytubbies’ Now

Growing up is weird. As if it doesn’t already seem like everyone but me has their life together, I’m also being surpassed by the Teletubbies. Yep, that’s right. Those colorful, weird, formerly cute but now kind of creepy characters apparently have babies, and they’re called “Tiddlytubbies.”

Cosmopolitan reports there are eight Tiddlytubbies, each with their own color and personality just like the original Teletubbies. Not to mention their names sound like baby jibberish. The green one, “Daa Daa,” enjoys saying his name a lot. Violet “Ping” plays the xylophone while saying her name. And blue “Mi-Mi” enjoys bouncing and, yes, shouting her name. I think I’m seeing a trend here.

According to the Teletubbies website, “The Teletubbies are always excited when a voice trumpet announces ‘Time for Tiddlytubbies’ and the Tiddlytubbies crawl into their own playroom.”

I’m not really sure how this happened or which of the original Teletubbies made these little ones, but congratulations? Here’s to the next generation of characters responsible for shaping the “physical, emotional and cognitive skills” of little ones while sufficiently creeping out adults.
