For all those Disney enthusiasts out there, this one’s for you. A new fan theory has been floating around the Internet—Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin may be secretly connected. It’s really quite persuasive and thought-provoking. Let’s take a look.
The theory has apparently been around for years; but Tumblr user, Disneymom, recently ramped up the discussion surrounding this mystery when she shared the long lost image below.
It appears that when Belle goes to the book shop to pick up her favorite novel (for the third time, we might add), she explains to the shop owner that the book is her favorite because of, “Far off places, daring swordfights, magic spells, a prince in disguise.” It seems that Belle was actually describing the plot of Aladdin during this scene.
