Last night’s election results were a shock to everyone, regardless of political ideology. One year ago, we were still thinking that Donald Trump’s candidacy was a joke, and in 70 days he will become our nation’s president. Social media has played a huge role in this election, especially yesterday and today. A-list celebrities have certainly taken advantage of social media; many of them made statements on Twitter and Instagram last night. No matter who you voted for yesterday, have hope in this country. As you can see, while our favorite celebs are mourning, they still have hope. Women, minorities and the LGBT+ community fought for centuries for our rights. Don’t give up. We are stronger than that. We are Americans.
