passing class vs. passing out in class

Monday, February 1, 2010

So I fainted in class today. Yeah. I'm that girl.

This morning, I was happily swinging around in circles in my swively chair at work, when my knee cap cracked against the sharp corner of my wooden desk. I shrieked in pain but tried to play it off cool so no one would think I was being a baby!

But then I went to class where I was trying to not focus on the throbbing pain of my knee when I accidentally (yes, i'm very accident prone) banged my knee against a metal pole underneath the table.

That's when I fainted. I have a freakishly, sometimes unsafe level of pain tolerance, but the sharp blinding pain that exploded in my leg actually sent me into a state of unconsciousness. Thankfully, I was sitting in the corner and leaning against the wall when I fainted so no one seemed to notice. I came to pretty quickly, but was shaking and sweating and too dizzy to make out the room in between all the black spots I was seeing. So I quickly stood up and left the classroom, dragging myself to the water fountain, using the wall as my crutch.

After drinking about a gallon of water and sitting down for a few minutes, I felt well enough to go back to class. But all day, my knee has been aching! This is the worst pain I've ever felt. I should probably get this checked out, but I hate going to doctors so I think I'll hold off. It'll probably fix itself anyway, right?

Either way, I know what could make me feel better... the new Shirred Zip Wrap Dress from Juicy Couture. Have y'all seen that gorgeous ensemble? It's amazing. And I swear it'll make my knee feel all better!!
