Prof. Plum With the Candlestick in the Study

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Anyone who knows me knows how OBSESSED I am with board games. It started when I was little and my best friend, Morgan, and I would collect them. Board games were the only fun thing we could agree on, as she never wanted to play American dolls with me and I definitely never wanted to play in the dirty outdoors with her. (sorry Morgs!)

We owned every game ever to be made and became pros at all of them (especially Candyland and BopIt - anyone remember that?). We still give each other board games for presents since we never outgrew them! In fact, the other night I had friends over to my apartment to play Catch Phrase! And this past week, I stopped at the bookstore after my internship and bought the newest version of Loaded Questions. I simply cannot explain how much I love board games! Which is exactly why I was stoked to find out Juicy Couture makes one!!!

So appropriately, Juicy's board game is called "Crimes of Couture" and is the fashionista's version of Clue.

Complete with 6 movers, 9 silvertone couture pieces, 6 personality cards, one deck of rumor cards, one deck of intrigue cards and a scandal envelope, this game dresses up the classic Clue game in glitz and glam. The floor plan even features Juicy related rooms likes The Shoe Salon, the Candy Room and the Design Studio.

Because it's hard to explain a game I've never played in my own words, I am quoting the official preview:
"Calling all nice girls who like stuff! You've been summoned by her Majesty Juicy Couture for an exclusive Fashion show 'preview' of the new spring line only to arrive and find out that an essential part of the new juicy line is missing! Is is an act of sabatoge? You must discover what couture item in the line was stolen, who took it, and where the item is hidden before the fashion show begins the next day! Do you have the smarts to solve this crime of couture and save the show?"

All I can say is that, yes, I have the smarts and am ordering this game online right now!!! I dare y'all to also and let me know if you love it as much as I know I will!!

xo,
Maura
