Is it possible that this dress is even real? It is beyond gorgeous--divinely shiny, white, with thick, voluminous duchesse satin. It is absolutely to die for. Thank you John Galliano for Christian Dior couture for bringing this into my life.
The Spring 2010 Couture shows were all this week, and according to Style.com's Sarah Mower, Galliano's entire Spring 2010 Couture line was inspired by famous 1950s Paris couturier Charles James and portraits of Gibson Girls . The more equestrian portions of the collection were inspired by paintings of women riding sidesaddle.
Okay, so maybe I can't afford a gown that costs upwards of $50,000.
There's always the future, right?
