Caroline Hallemann

This week I interviewed Molly Champagne, co-president of PREPARE, the Policy group on Rape Education, Prevention and Response here on campus. This student organization works hard to prevent instances of rape and sexual assault at Wake Forest. If you feel passionate about the cause, I urge you to apply to the program.
Could you explain, in your own words, what the traditions council does here on campus?
We wanted to start this year’s profile section off right, so we went straight to the top.  This week I interviewed President Hatch about everything from his own college experiences to issues facing the women of Wake Forest. All too often, our campus administrators are merely names without faces—hopefully this interview introduces you to the man behind the presidency.
In the eternal words of Alice Cooper, “School’s out for summer.” Unfortunately, the rock god never offered much in the way of fashion advice. That’s where I come in.
If you were too busy fratting hard and “watching horses” at Carolina Cup this past weekend, you may have missed out on Wake Forest’s on version of Sundance: the Reynolda Film Festival. This year’s annual event featured world-renowned director Spike Lee, Juno Screenwriter Angus MacLachlan, Josh Olson, screenwriter of A History of Violence, and several screenings of student and professional films. This week’s campus profile features senior Laura Janelli, Feature Film Coordinator of the festival.
