Here at HC, our remarkable readers are no stranger to the power of national+ specific college content. For one general idea to reach a mass group, it’s important to consider a national and local audience. This is the same with charitable causes, and its something my favorite nonprofit She’s the First has begun to do.
STF aims to raise awareness and fundraise for girls’ educations across the globe. If you’re fairly new to HC and have yet to read a magnificent interview written by the terrific Taylor Trudon with STF founder (and my former internship supervisor at Hearst Digital Media) Tammy Tibbetts, check it out here!
STF has already begun establishing chapters at different universities in New York state like Hofstra and Syracuse. You too can start a branch at your school by emailing tammy@shesthefirst.org. Write an article in your school newspaper, write about STF on your blog, hold creative fundraisers and then write about them for your HC branch! Together, we can help girls around the world be the *first* at something and change the world.
