The famous modern dance company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, is partnering with Talenthouse and Self Magazine to award two lucky winners (one male and one female) a full scholarship (and $500 living stipend) to attend the Taylor Summer Intensive program in New York City! As a former dancer myself, I can tell you that there is nothing more exciting than summer intensives in New York. Not only do they attract top-notch teachers and a talented student body, but living in New York City is a cultural treat in itself. Between outdoor concerts in Central Park, plays on the Great White Way and a little bit of both at Lincoln Center, there is always something to see and do.
To enter, submit a YouTube video (no more than 90 seconds) that showcases your love of dance, and explains why you deserve to win the scholarship. The top 20 submissions will be judged by a jury that includes Mr. Paul Taylor himself, as well as Matthew Diamond (director of So You Think You Can Dance) and two current company members, so this is a great opportunity to gain some exposure regardless of the outcome!
