Scholarship Opportunity for Dancers!

Calling all dancers! Here at HC we always keep our ears open for neat opportunities and if you’re a dancer, this is one you might be interested in…

The famous modern dance company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, is partnering with Talenthouse and Self Magazine to award two lucky winners (one male and one female) a full scholarship (and $500 living stipend) to attend the Taylor Summer Intensive program in New York City! As a former dancer myself, I can tell you that there is nothing more exciting than summer intensives in New York. Not only do they attract top-notch teachers and a talented student body, but living in New York City is a cultural treat in itself. Between outdoor concerts in Central Park, plays on the Great White Way and a little bit of both at Lincoln Center, there is always something to see and do.

To enter, submit a YouTube video (no more than 90 seconds) that showcases your love of dance, and explains why you deserve to win the scholarship. The top 20 submissions will be judged by a jury that includes Mr. Paul Taylor himself, as well as Matthew Diamond (director of So You Think You Can Dance) and two current company members, so this is a great opportunity to gain some exposure regardless of the outcome! Click here for more details and may the best dancer win!
