1.  AstraZeneca 2012 LIFT Summer Intern
Who: Finance or accounting majors with a 3.0 or higher GPA

About: Leaders in Finance Tomorrow (LIFT) is a program that provides undergraduate and graduate students with a unique opportunity to gain meaningful finance and accounting experiences in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to working on their finance assignments, LIFT interns are involved in multiple training sessions and networking activities. Participants also engage in a mentorship program to enhance their industry skills.

2.  DOWNTOWN Magazine Internship Spring 2012

Who: Students interested in design and layout, preferably with experience in Photoshop and Adobe
Where: New York City

About: DOWNTOWN is an up-and-coming magazine covering culture, arts, fashion, food, and business in Lower Manhattan. Interns assist with page layout, advertising design and basic photo editing. There’s also an opportunity to have your work published in the magazine.

3.  ESPN Summer 2012 Programming Internship

About: ESPN prefers that you have some experience in television programming or production before the internship. Business experience in a professional office environment is also valued. Programming interns generally conduct ratings research, help develop presentations, and assist with planning and scheduling for major sporting events.

Who: Recent graduates of bachelor’s or master’s degree programs

About: This rare internship is offered to recent grads interested in pursuing a museum career. The job provides training, and education opportunities, not to mention a $22,000 stipend. 6.  San Francisco Film Society Membership and Development Internship
Who: All college students
Where: San Francisco, CA

About: Membership and development interns work in multiple departments, splitting their time between events, foundations, and corporate sponsorship. They learn how the film society operates by working closely with directors and other employees. Responsibilities include conducting maintaining donor files, identifying potential sponsors, and assisting with event reports. Interns generally work 2-4 days a week (8-25 hours per week). The internship is unpaid, but benefits include the opportunity to attend press and preview screenings, college credit, and hands-on experience working with filmmakers and publicizing films.

7.  The U.S. Department of State Fall 2012 Internship
Who: Undergraduate juniors or seniors and graduate students in good academic standing

About: These internships provide great experience for future careers in both the Civil Service and the Foreign Service. The department is looking for students with a broad range of majors who can think critically and act responsibly. About: TV Tango Inc. is a growing TV website/database. Interns should have writing and blogging experience and will focus on covering the TV scene. Interns work in different departments throughout the program, but come together to participate in group activities. Together, they complete a service project to help the community and promote leadership. Each week, interns gather for a speaker series with senior staff members and take advantage of off-site field trips around D.C.
