Her Campus got the chance to ask Danish supermodel Nina Agdal (whom you’ve seen everywhere from on the arm of Adam Levine to that Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition) all about her beauty and fitness regimen. Check out what she has to say, and what tips she has for collegiettes like you!
HC: Can you tell us about your favorite beauty products and why you love them?
Nina: Calvin Klein has a liquid bronzer that I love. Its easy to apply and just gives the skin a glow. European Wax Center has a great All Natural Brow Powder. Your brow is what frames your entire face and I think a good brow is important, and their product allows it to sit in a natural way.
What’s your secret to flawless looking perfect skin?
I visit European Wax Center regularly to maintain my skin smooth. They do such a great job waxing without irritating the skin. And it doesn’t hurt! Besides that I use their exfoliator – the Exfoliate – to keep my skin smooth and body lotion for moisture.
What is your go-to hairstyle when you’re not at a photo shoot?
I’m a bun head. I can even do it without a hair-tie.
What’s your favorite nail trend this fall? Makeup trend?
I like golden colors for nails. Even glitter. For makeup I always like a dark lip and natural eyes.
What is your go-to makeup routine?
For a day off, nothing. Besides that mascara and a little bronzer on the cheek bones
What kind of looks are your favorite to model?
Swimsuits. You almost always get to shoot on the beach and its easy changing outfits.
How do you remain is such great shape?
I work out. I love food so to maintain my weight and shape I have to work out. I do cardio for at least 30 min and then weights. Or Barry’s Bootcamp if I’m in NYC.
How would you describe your personal style?
Casual. I wear whatever I like and feel comfortable. I wouldn’t consider myself as a fashionista at all. I like my sweats and sneakers.
If you could only carry one product with you in your purse for the day, what would that product be?
Hand sanitizer. I hate the feeling of dirty hands.
What advice do you have for girls who want to try new things with their makeup, but are afraid to?
Try it at home when you have enough time to take if off and do something else in case it looks bad.
What advice do you have for girls who want to break into the modeling industry?
It doesn’t happen overnight for most models. It’s a process. It can take a long time but you just have to keep working hard and believe in yourself!
