Start your engines, and get ready for RuPaul’s makeup collaboration with Mally Beauty! Allure reports that our favorite drag queen is teaming up with the brand to release a collection early next year, and my coins are ~ready~.
Since RuPaul’s Drag Race became available for streaming on Netflix, it seems as though people everywhere have become captivated by the drag community. Watching the queens transform themselves week after week is enough to make anyone question, “Why can’t I beat my face like that?”
While the specifics have yet to be announced, my bet is that the beauty collab could definitely make an appearance on the show and be an essential in any queen’s makeup bag. Coming from someone who’s been binging the show for the past month (it’s a must-have for exam stress), I’d assume that we’re likely to see some sort of challenge related to this in the near future. A themed episode and a cosmetics line? Yes, please.
And the best part is? RuPaul is bringing attention to Mally Beauty. While popular, they’re not nearly as large as some of the other brands that we’re sure would have done anything to collaborate with icon like RuPaul. Instead, this women-owned company is focused on “celebrating women and enhancing inner beauty.”
They recently collaborated with Disney’s Frozen and the results were amazing. With impeccable packaging and attention to detail, my fingers are crossed that the results are the same (if not better) for Mama Ru.
Currently, the brand promises that more information is coming soon. According to a press release obtained by PopSugar, there will be a capsule collection with 10 to 12 pieces. While I wish their Instagram post revealed more about the collection, such as with a picture of products, a hint at the packaging or even a picture of RuPaul in some bold makeup, for now, I’ll have to settle with watching yet another season of Drag Race.
