Anyone who has ever attempted to get that perfectly precise, super sharp eyeliner look knows that it is a struggle. And if you want wings? You’d better set aside an extra 15 minutes to make sure you have enough time to get them exactly right. Luckily, MAC’s newest eyeliner invention is about to make our lives TONS easier.
Makeup artist Michael Patterson previewed the brand’s newest eyeliner on Instagram backstage at New York Fashion Week – and the design is a game changer. Instead of your typical pen or pencil, the applicator is shaped like a pizza cutter. (You know, the one with the rolling wheel.) Yes, you’ll now be able to roll your eyeliner on, resulting in insanely precise lines.
Patterson even posted a video of the eyeliner in action, and commenters were freaking out, natch:
It’s looking like the eyeliner will be available in three different shades (that we know of so far anyways!): matte black, glossy black and matte brown. Considering matte anything is trendy AF right now, we’re going to want to pick one up if only for the shine-free finish alone.
The jury is out on when MAC will make it available, but we do know that this is the stuff eyeliner dreams are made of – so it’ll definitely be worth the wait.
