“Mascara is mascara,” said no one ever. For such a basic product, it’s crazy how big of a difference the right one can make. Now that I think about it, I’ve never actually bought the same mascara more than once, and I’ve been wearing it since I was, like, 12. I was never that impressed with fan favorites such as the Maybelline Great Lash (too clumpy) or the Too Faced Better Than Sex (barely visible).
I was recently sent the IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara ($24) for review and, honestly, I think my quest has finally ended. This magic wand gives me the longest lashes ever with ZERO. CLUMPS. If you like more volume, two layers of product will do the trick—which is fine, because the formula is super buildable. I’ve only been wearing this mascara for a week or so and have already received several compliments on it, which is really saying something.
