ACCIO, MAKEUP. Thanks to Storybook Cosmetics, our makeup is now more ~magical~ than ever. Last week, the cosmetics company—founded by identical triplets Erin, Mandy and Missy Maynard from Omaha, Nebraska—unveiled their new Wizard Wands makeup brushes on Instagram. For just $55, Harry Potter fans can live out their dreams, day after day. Obviously the announcement went viral.
The magical brushes are cruelty free and made from synthetic fibers. They will officially be released for shipping in around six weeks, but unfortunately, if you haven’t pre-ordered them yet, you’ll be waiting awhile. It took only two days for Storybook Cosmetics completely sell out of the brushes.
If the wizard wand brushes weren’t exciting enough, the brand is also planning on making an eyeshadow palette for the Harry Potter fandom (and maybe even one for Regina George and Gretchen Wieners) called The Sorting Palette. We’re so excited.
According to their website, the Maynard triplets are Harry Potter fans through and through. “We have been fangirls all of our lives, so it’s in our blood,” the site reads. “Storybook Cosmetics is a passion project we have been working on for years. As fans of all things sparkly, magical and mystical it was a logical next step to crossover our fandom businesses into cosmetics!”
