Earth Lovers: Too Much Primping

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

Hey Her Campus-ers!

Today, I once again took a 3-minute shower… ok fine, my shower was a couple minutes too long today, because I was super tired and lazy, and therefore I moved a bit slower than normal… however, my main 3-minute shower issue today was:

Showering before a formal event.

This weekend, I have to wear a formal dress 4 nights in a row. On Thursday night, I had the Miss Emerson Pageant, Friday night my sorority (AEPhi) had a semi-formal, tonight I went to Zeta Phi Eta’s semi-formal, and tomorrow I have the Emerson Recognition & Achievement Awards. So all of those 4 nights = way too much primping. Picking out a formal dress (or shopping for one… ugh!), then figuring out which shoes to pair with it, which jewelry to wear, and putting on makeup takes way too long…

Me and a few of my friends before our sorority’s semi-formal!

However, the only thing getting me through all this primping and dressing up this weekend is that since I’m now taking shorter showers, I can spend more time on all the other parts of getting ready – picking out a dress, jewelry, makeup, etc…

Basically, every day I find out another reason that the Three-Minute Shower Challenge is awesome!

Today’s 3-minute shower song was:

Saturday Morning – Eels

If you still haven’t tried taking a 3-minute shower yet, you should! It will only take 3 minutes of your time, so there’s no excuse! And, as always, a 3-minute pump-up song will do the trick! And just think of how much time you’ll have leftover to spend on the rest of your primping process!

Peace, Love, and Short-Showers!

A bunch of us seniors at our last college sorority formal!
