Are you looking to make your green, blue or brown eyes stand out? Get inspired from my tips and these YouTube videos and you’ll be on your way to looking fabulous this weekend! Click on the links above to check out my tips on each eye color! Many of the items I have recommended come from drugstores and are reasonably priced and easy to find.

Note: Before applying any eyeshadow, always use a primer! Try Urban Decay Primer Potion, your shadow will stick to your skin easily and the colors will appear brighter.

1. How to Make Green Eyes Pop:
Okay you green-eyed monsters, it’s time to make your eyes pop! From emerald to hazel eyes, I’ve got you covered! For green eyes, the best colors to use are those in the green, purple, pink, and brown families.

  •  Look #1: Use Green – Lime, emerald, teal, sage, olive
  • Products: Loreal HiP eye shadow duo in Flashy or Riotous

When using green shadows and liners, less is usually more. Unless you are going for a green smokey eye, use green sparingly by applying a pop of emerald or teal as a liner on your upper or lower lash line.

If you are feeling adventurous, try out a green smokey eye look. Tailor the look to your own style by either toning it down with more grays or doing it up with more lime or teal.
Start with a cream-colored shadow base and sweep some light green across the entire lid.
Next take a thick cone-shaped brush and pick up some olive green. Dab the shadow on the outer portion of your eye and use windshield-wiper motions to blend the color into the middle of your lid. Finish the look with some black liner and mascara!

If you are looking to use less forest green and more olive, stick to this more wearable look inspired by Megan Fox. To try the look yourself, check out this tutorial from YouTuber Magicgrl111.

  • Look #2: Use Purple or Pink – Lilac, plum, violet, amethyst, mauve, gray; dark pink, peach
  • Products: Loreal HiP Playful, Revlon ColorStay 12-hour Eye Shadow in Lavender Meadow

When it comes to these two colors, follow different rules. For purple, you are free to use a lot or a little, depending on the look you are going for. For pinks, try to use them more sparingly, otherwise you may end up looking like a little kid playing with cheap makeup.

For purple, you can try colors like lilac and dust it onto your whole lid and lower lash line for a bright, fresh look.

Add a pop of color with violet by tracing your upper or lower lash line with an angle brush dipped in color.

For a more glam look, start by covering your whole lid with white. Next run some plum or mauve over the middle to outer third of your lid, keeping the white untouched on the inner third of your eye. Blend the purples into your crease by using a fluffy brush in windshield-wiper motions.

Use a charcoal pencil to create a sassy winged look by tracing a thick line above your lash line and flicking the pencil out toward your hairline. Add a pop of white under the brow and to the inner corner to open up your eyes.

Look #3: Use Brown – Bronze, copper, chocolate, gold
Products: Loreal HiP eye shadow duo in Flashy or Riotous, Cargo Essential Eye Shadow Palette in Dark Neutral

If you’re using browns and you want a natural look, stick to the combination of brown and gold together for a light, easy look.

Start off by covering your lid with a cream-colored shadow as a base. Put a pop of brown on the outer corner of your eye and blend into the upper and lower lash lines. Now dab some gold from the inner third of your eye to the inner corner for an effortless look.

Check out YouTuber Hollyannaeree for a soft brown and gold look you can use for the weekend or everyday!

If you want to get playful, use a light pink shadow below the brow and down toward the inner corner for bright, sexy look.

Instead of using a white base, use a light tan color and blend it with a touch of dark gray or brown on the outer corner of your eye.
