Dove Introduces “Women Who Should Be Famous”

We are excited to introduce Dove’s “Women Who Should Be Famous” campaign, a project aimed at introducing girls to real, admirable women to look up to. In a world where girls idolize scantily clad pop stars and celebrities who are famous for all the wrong reasons, Dove wants to shine the spotlight on strong, inspiring female role models in order to build stronger self-esteem in girls—because, let’s face it, even on a good hair day we could probably all benefit from an ego boost and a little more self-respect.

Committed to inspiring all women and girls to reach their full potential by caring for themselves and each other, Dove has launched this campaign as a part of The Dove Movement For Self-Esteem. By celebrating real women and fostering self-esteem through their positive influence, Dove hopes to make beauty a source of confidence, not anxiety.

So, if you agree that it’s time to acknowledge all the real, amazing women making a difference in our world, join us in supporting Dove’s mission by taking part in their upcoming events!

  • Tune into the livestream of the Girl Scouts’ Rock the Mall event on June 9th, where Mandy Moore will shine a light on remarkable women and you’ll be able to ask questions and comment on the performers.
  •  Watch the Real Women Video Series, which allows fans to recognize an inspiring woman in their lives, featured weekly on Dove’s Facebook page starting June 10th.
  • Check out Dove’s Facebook page to watch more videos and access free resources like Dove’s self-esteem curriculum.
  • Honor a worthy woman in your life by tweeting about her @Dove with the hashtag #DoveInspired.
  • Stay tuned for more updates about the campaign!
