Clean, fresh looking skin is always in, no matter the season! And with summer here we know we will be spending A LOT of time outside and we want our skin to be bright and beautiful! Check out these three Do It Yourself masks and exfoliators to save money while perfecting your skin!

The Pore Minimizer: Make and use this mask if you have larger pores and oily skin. As the water evaporates the egg will shrink on your skin drawing your pores closed and minimizing them!

 What you need:

– 1 egg, whites only
– 3 table spoons lukewarm water
– ¼ lemon

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl with a fork. Once it looks like a clear liquid with even texture and color, simply use your fingers and spread the mask all over your face, avoiding your eye and mouth areas. Let it dry completely (about 20 minutes) and use a damp warm washcloth to remove the mask! Finish off by adding an SPF moisturizer or sunscreen to your skin and you’re good to go!

The Exfoliator: Use this DIY exfoliator if you have drier skin in need of brightening! The brown sugar removes flaky skin, olive oil moisturizes your skin, and the honey promotes new skin cell growth and acts as a mild antiseptic that will kill bacteria on your skin.

What you need:
– 4 table spoons olive oil

– 1 table spoon brown sugar
– ½ table spoon honey

Mix everything together in a bowl. Then dampen your skin with a warm washcloth. Using your fingers, pick up some of the mixture and using small circular motions rub it all over your face, focusing around your nose and chin. Use the washcloth again to remove the mixture and rinse your face. Finish off with an SPF moisturizer and you’re all done!

The Moisturizing and Nourishing Mask: This mask will make you skin as soft as a baby’s bottom! The banana has fiber, potassium and Vitamin C which all help to prevent wrinkle formation and smooth your skin and the oatmeal sooths and heals your skin.

What you need:

– 1 whole banana
– ¼ cup cooked oatmeal
– 3 table spoons lukewarm water

Start by making your oatmeal by following the directions on the box. Next, mash the banana in a bowl until it is a thick creamy consistency. Add the water to the banana mash and mix it together. Finally add the cooked oatmeal and mix it evenly throughout the mixture. Then just use your fingers to apply a moderately thick coating of the mixture to your skin and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash it off with warm water and enjoy soft beautiful skin!
