Months ago, H&M announced that they would be releasing a cosmetics line this fall. Well, that time has finally come and in just a couple short days, the full collection will be revealed to us all. When we first heard about it, many thoughts ran through our heads. We were definitely excited because who doesn’t love H&M? Their clothes and accessories are affordable and trendy. And now cosmetics? These are the things we are definitely excited for—and you should be too!
1. There are 700 pieces! Fragrance, hair, makeup, bodycare, makeup tools. Let us reiterate: 700 different pieces.
2. There will be 20 different foundation shades. We’ll have options from the lightest of the light and the darkest of the dark, meaning this collection is incredibly inclusive. Plus, H&M will provide a color wheel so that you can correctly match foundation and concealer to your skin tone.
3. They’re switching up how we think of neutrals. They’re going to have a myriad of colors (remember, there will be 700 pieces in this collection) and instead of your basic neutral eye, add a dash of color that is made to look in sync with your other colors.
4. The names are simple and self-explanatory. Clean Canvas Lip Scrub. No need to ask what it is.
5. Or they are extremely dreamy. Midnight Muse. If you don’t feel sexy after misting yourself, then maybe try the Rose Reverie or Urban Verve.
6. EVERYTHING is affordable! There’s nothing in this line that exceeds $13. If you buy each of of the 700 pieces, the most you can spend is $9,100… which, let’s be real, for hundreds of makeup products, isn’t bad. Compare that to buying 700 things at Sephora. This two-in-one brush? Only $7.
7. And each product is packaged so sleekly and beautifully. Prestige brand packaging with drugstore pricing. Look at the gold casing! We’re freaking out!
8. It launches on September 17 (Online, that is. You’ll find it in stores Oct 1!) We don’t have to wait that much longer for this collection. And that is the most exciting part. Christmas just came early for beauty lovers.
