HC Co-Founder Windsor is Going to the Super Bowl!

I recently found out that I’m going to the Super Bowl with Pepsi! I am SO. EXCITED. Seriously, I can hardly stand it.

I’ll fly from Boston to New York City this Friday, January 31, where I’ll meet up with a group of YouTubers and bloggers who are also on the Pepsi trip. Pepsi is really showing us the royal treatment, complete with black-car airport pickups, a swanky hotel, VIP receptions at the Pepsi Hospitality Suite and late-night parties.

For entertainment on Saturday, I got to pick from a bunch of amazing options, like a cooking class at Eataly, a massage, a mani/pedi or facial at an Upper East Side spa or Broadway tickets. I’m a HUGE Broadway fan, so I took the tickets and I’ll be going to see Kinky Boots! I haven’t seen it, but I know it has rave reviews and it’s centered around stilettos. Count me in.

On Sunday, we’ll get up super early and learn all about Pepsi’s work with the NFL and their exciting plans for the halftime show (yay Bruno Mars!). After what I’m sure will be a delicious lunch and some afternoon relaxation, it’s off to the stadium to watch the Broncos and the Seahawks battle it out for the Vince Lombardi Trophy!

The New England Patriots didn’t make it to the Super Bowl, so I have to pick between the two teams… right? Is it okay to cheer for the underdog during the first three quarters and then cheer for the team I think will win in the fourth quarter? Is that kosher football fandom? I guess I’ll just have to play it by ear.

The Grand Finale: College Fashion Week Boston

I really love College Fashion Week – especially when it’s here in Boston, Her Campus’s hometown. With Boston as the only city that has seen College Fashion Week two years in a row, I was really curious to see how the turnout to the event would be. My oh my was I pleased! Last year College Fashion Week in Boston was the biggest of the four shows with over 700 registered attendees. We blew that number out of the water this year with a whopping 910 registered attendees for our show!

The Boston show was the perfect finale for our 2013 College Fashion Week Tour. It was big, it was bold, and it was beautiful. We worked with some of my absolute favorite local vendors including Elements Events (our DJs that kept the house rockin’ all night), The Estate Nightclub (our fabulous venue), Jenn Fredrickson (makeup artist extraordinaire), Be Styled (bodacious blowouts), and MiniLuxe (Boston’s top mani destination). McElroy Productions captured film all night, so look out for our highlight video!

The Boston show was particularly perfect for several reasons. For one, Sports Club/LA came in and totally took our fitness wear scene to another dimension with ah-mah-zing Fila fitness apparel and personal trainers that were total campus cuties. I was particularly obsessed with this tennis look:

West Coast Style: College Fashion Week San Diego

After wrapping up a super successful, super southern show in Auburn, Alabama, the Her Campus team headed over to the west coast for College Fashion Week Stop #3: San Diego! I started my trip in LA – which was fab. I stayed with my bestie Kristina and got to host an event with Merck for our Plan it Forward campaign at UCLA!

I met Chelsea in LA (she was staying with her sister who is a sophomore at USC) and we rented a bright red Mustang convertible (obvi) for the drive to San Diego. It was my first time in San Diego and I must say – it definitely lived up to its reputation. The drive was GORGEOUS! We stopped several times along the way to revel in our tourist-y-ness and pose for some roadside pics.

We hosted College Fashion Week at FIDM’s San Diego Campus right downtown. The campus was so beautiful! It was located in a high rise and had a balcony that overlooked the ballpark for the San Diego Padres (which was beautiful even though I literally know nothing about the Padres).  The space was architecturally stunning with lots of bright colors and walls and walls of glass. It was really interesting to spend time in a college dedicated to fashion, merchandising and design! It kind of made me want to go to back to school!

War Eagle! College Fashion Week Stop 2: Auburn, Alabama

Hey collegiettes!

After we wrapped up our first show in Orlando (read about it here), the Her Campus Nationals team headed over to Auburn University in Auburn, AL for stop number two of College Fashion Week! It was homecoming weekend and Auburn pride was in the air.

We spent the morning of the show stuffing our VIP swag bags with goodies from Poppin, neuro, LUNA and The Her Campus Shop. Doesn't all of the swag look awesome?

We wanted to make sure that we showcased true southern style with lots of flirty yet ladylike looks and tons of orange and blue! One aspect of life at Auburn that I wanted to make sure we highlighted was how passionate Auburn students (and alums) are about their football team. Tailgating is a huge part of life at Auburn, and the girls really dress to the nines on game day.

College Fashion Week Orlando: The Journey Begins

On October 5th, we officially kicked off College Fashion Week 2013 with an absolutely killer show in Orlando, Florida, at the University of Central Florida. Her Campus UCF, led by Nick Osler and Sarah Heyl, is one of our Pink Level chapters, meaning that amongst all of our Her Campus chapters, they are the best of the best. I met Sarah this past summer at Her Campus’s second annual National Intercollegiette Conference in NYC, and I was excited to see her again and to meet Nick at College Fashion Week Orlando!

I traveled down to Orlando with Chelsea Evans, Her Campus National’s Manager of Operations, and Taylor King, Her Campus National’s Senior Manager of Client Services. We arrived in Orlando on Thursday (the girls flew JetBlue – holllaaa) and went to Hertz to pick up our rental car. We decided that we had to kick off College Fashion Week in style (and we had TONS of stuff to pick up at Sarah’s house and take to the campus for the show), so we rented the biggest, most awesome car they had – a brand spanking new, black, chromed-out 2014 Escalade. It. Was. Baller.

See? I told you we had a lot of stuff to haul!

Hey there collegiettes!

Vote for Her Campus in Nordstrom's YOUphoria Fashion Faceoff!

Hi ladies!

If you read my post last week, you know that I got to go on a back to school shopping spree at Nordstrom as part of their YOUphoria Fashion Faceoff. It. Was. Awesome. Basically, I got to go to Nordstrom and work with a personal stylist to find the perfect fall look for under $850 (easiest thing ever btw – I don’t think any of my normal outfits cost $850).

Anyways, now it’s time for the Fashion Faceoff part of the program. Basically, I have to collect more votes from my awesome readers (that means you) than my competition can collect. As a bonus, if you live in Boston, part of the voting process gets you RSVPed for an event at Nordstrom Southshore Plaza this Thursday!

I’ll be there, rocking my outfit, and (hopefully) meeting many of you! The event is going to be pretty spectacular. In addition to being able to enjoy some of my favorite treats and snacks (I got to vote on the menu!), event attendees will get to partake in an eyelash bar, a nail bar, and much more, all while listening to a DJ spin our favorite tunes and being photographed by a professional photographer! Let’s just say that I’m pretty amped.

Please (please!) vote for me here and, if you’re around, RSVP for the event! I’d love to meet you!

YOUphoria: It's more attainable than you think. Find yours at Nordstrom.

Pinkberry Opens in Davis Square!

When it comes to a collegiette’s favorite things, froyo is definitely at the top of the list. We at Her Campus Nationals are huge fans of Pinkberry, so we couldn’t have been more excited to find out that a new location was opening in Davis Square, not too far from our office!

Last night Her Campus Nationals went to the amazing grand opening of Pinkberry in Davis Square. We couldn’t wait to try out the new location and eat some delicious froyo!

After work, we all headed over to Davis Square for the opening. We had an awesome time celebrating the new location at the friends and family party—and eating free Pinkberry, of course! There were a ton of amazing flavors to try. Right now they have original, cherry, chocolate, butter pecan, peach and coconut, and you can get any of them with a variety of toppings, from fruit to chocolate. My personal fave was peach, which I topped with some delicious fresh strawberries.

The store was absolutely packed, and I was excited to not just hang out with our amazing national team, but to see the Her Campus Tufts team as well!
