How would you describe your personality?

I would say I am humble, considerate of others, very outgoing and social as well as very open minded to try and experience new things.

What are you involved in at school?

Currently I am only a full time student seeing as how I am nearing graduation I am focusing on academics. However I am a part of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority Inc., (currently an inactive member).

Who is your celebrity crush?

My celeb crush is Ryan Gosling. I am obsessed with the way he looks as well as I love the sensitivity and passion he portrays in his most successful roles.

What has been your best school year so far?

This is by far the hardest question because I can truly say I love all 5 of my years here at UCR. I would say academically it would be my 4th year because I truly was more focused on school and getting my GPA higher, while socially each year has brought me new experiences that are not comparable to one another so honestly I cannot choose just one.

If you knew today was your last day, what would do?

My favorite thing about UCR is nooners.  I love being able to wear letters and feel a part of the Greek community and hang out with friends from different organizations.  We all have share similar purposes and have the same goals at the end of the day, so networking with each other is one of the best parts.

11/26/2012

This year has been an amazing year for the movie industry! There have been movies that have broken box office records and movies that have changed usage of special effects forever! Some of these movies were anticipated for years whether they were sequels, or books made into reality. These movies were very fascinating because of how much the filmmaking crews integrate scenes from a book and turn it into a reality! These movies were very popular this year and ones that have not been released are highly anticipated among audiences nationwide. Now let’s start our countdown!

15. Wreck It Ralph

Wreck It Ralph is a Disney animated film that demonstrates a characters change of behavior. In this animated film, Ralph is trying to fit in with others but he is always shunned out because he is a villain. When characters are celebrating their 30th anniversary of the games’ existence, they don’t invite Ralph. Felix (the hero of the game Fix-It Felix, Jr.) invites him to the celebration but others refuse to let him in telling him that in order to get in he has to win a medal like Felix has. How to Save Money! College Student Style!

10/29/2012

Are you feeling sad and upset that you can’t go shopping? Are you eating Ramen noodles and mac and cheese almost every day? This means it is time to start saving a few bucks! Sometimes when people think of saving Money, they think of a having budget. With a few tips you don’t need an official budget, but it all comes down to shopping smart and having self-control.

It's hard for people to go shopping without buying just one thing: whether it's shoes, a shirt, a dress or even food. It's a fact that the average person spends most of their money on food like grocery shopping or just eating out all the time. Now I can show you a few tips to save yourself some money without putting too much work into it.

When you go to a mall, or go anywhere that has stores, a great thing to do is leave your debit and/or credit card at home and take only ten dollars with you as your emergency money. It's tempting to shop, but when you know you need to save money for other important items like books, rent, groceries, or tuition, window shopping becomes your best friend. Ladies(and some men) love to shop!

When you go grocery shopping, buying brand name products can become very expensive, so you have to choose wisely. Sometimes living a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to be expensive! You can buy whole wheat pasta that can be from a generic brand. You can also buy generic mayo, ketchup without high fructose corn syrup but you have to be on the lookout for savings. Brand name products doesn't always mean better!

New Year, New Goals, New You

10/8/2012

Welcome back everyone to a new school year! And welcome new incoming freshmen! We hope your
first quarter goes by smoothly! It is now fall but it still feels like summer so we hope everyone stays hydrated while going to class during these next few days. Our campus is evolving and becoming more
beautiful every year by the expansion of our school. And we expect big things this school year!

This year there will be changes to our beautiful campus that will only benefit all students and hopefully expand the student population here at UCR. It was announced that UCR’s School of Medicine will be opening soon, as it was given the go ahead to finish construction. This will give our school greater recognition. With a new school of medicine, students will be able to major in Pre-Med for undergraduate studies which are something a lot of students are looking forward to. We are all rooting for the School of
Medicine to officially open!

On more recent news, the Chancellor of UC Riverside Timothy White is leaving his position to become
the seventh chancellor of the CSU system. It is sad to see a friend of our school leaving because he has
created great success on our campus, but we wish him the best on his new position and he will always
be a big part of our UCR campus.
