Whether it be the language program, internship, or classes: studying abroad is the opportunity of a lifetime that you don’t want to miss. University of San Francisco offers sponsored programs, as well as outside programs that you can pursue. Studying abroad completely changes your perspective and viewpoint of this world. While studying abroad, you can see new cultures and even learn new languages. Not only is studying abroad good for your resume, but it gives you a chance to learn new things about yourself. While being away from home in a foreign country is challenging, but you get to learn a new language, get to meet wonderful people, and become more informed about the world around you. When you are choosing a program, it is important to choose universities that offer either core classes or major classes. It is advised that before going abroad you take science, math, theology and ethics core classes due to the lack of availability of those courses abroad. |

USF's International Education Week (IEW) is a week-long series of events that will be held from November 14-18 to celebrate international education and cultural exchange. IEW was created in 1999 by the U.S. Department of State and Education in order to celebrate benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This annual initiative aims to promote international understanding and build support for international educational exchange by encouraging the development of programs that prepare Americans to live and work in a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study in the United States.
