New Kid on The Block: Green Apple Frogurt

2/29/2012

Hey Tigers, did you know about the newest frozen yogurt company that has fallen in Greencastle?  Green Apple Frogurt has delicious flavors and tons of toppings. The colors of green and red give a glow to DePauw’s campus as you drive down Washington street. It cannot be missed.  The cozy modern atmosphere is perfect for hanging out with friends, studying or going on a date. (Hint hint, boys). So, after your nice meal at Almost Home with your babe, head on over to Greencastle’s finest fro-yo.  This first weekend has been a huge hit for many DePauw students, hearing only raving reviews!

Wondering what will happen to Dairy Castle now that Green Apple Frogurt is the new kid on the block? Well, they are two very different types of ice cream. Dairy Castle still remains a favorite for many DePauw students along with many Greencastle residents. Although Green Apple Frogurt is now a quick hop, skip and a jump from campus, people will undoubtedly have to get their fix of the Greencastle classic as well.  So Dairy Castle, you have nothing to fear! As for Green Apple Frogurt, welcome to the DePauw community; we sure are pleased to have you!

It’s the Holiday Season!

Welcome back Tigers!! As Thanksgiving break is over, we have now entered into the most wonderful time of the year. Thank goodness for the holiday season! What is better than Christmas trees, presents, stockings, mistletoe, ugly sweaters and a fabulous season of giving?

Decorations start to adorn DePauw’s campus. Amazing cookies, wonderful holiday music and candy canes, too. Secret Santa always becomes a seasonal favorite among the DePauw community. “When I think of Christmas, I think of sitting in my living room with the smell of the Christmas tree and Christmas music playing, with a fire behind me as I lounge in my fuzzy socks and a sweat shirt with a book,” says sophomore Siri Retrum.
