Q. Is asking a guy out desperate or gutsy?
It may not be desperate or gutsy. Rather, it might simply be a necessity. Some guys just don't "get it." You may have flirted and showed interest in him, but if he doesn't reciprocate your advances or feelings he may be taken, gay, shy, clueless, inexperienced, uninterested, asexual, bored, boring ... take your pick. I am not a big fan of women asking a man out because it lets him off the hook. Women don't like weak-minded men who lack backbone and direction. If a guy is interested in you, he should summon the courage and show you, tell you and ask you out. Do you want really want to have to prompt him every step of the way. Women should be courted by a guy with a clue who doesn't want to lose you. Make him prove to you that he is that guy.
